Randy Smith’s residential real estate career began as a Realtor® over three decades ago. He got into residential real estate just after the 1980’s “crash,” having lived and worked in Southeast Asia engaged in the international banking and petroleum industries, and believing that his optimistic and committed attitude would open many doors as the market once again showed signs of recovery in the early 1990’s. Fluctuating markets are not new to Randy; in fact he thrives in such markets. As a Realtor®, Randy holds many Designations and Certifications to include: Accredited Buyer Rep (ABR), Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS), Short Sale and Foreclosure (SFR), and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES).
In fact, a very large part of what makes Randy unique is that he not only possesses a level of experience few can match, he is a Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) Accredited Instructor for the nation’s most prestigious award-winning real estate school – Champions School of Real Estate. He teaches real estate, and has been approved to do so since 1992. In 2010, Randy was humbled to receive the statewide Teacher of the Year Award.
He has instructed thousands of students in Core real estate classes as well as seasoned Agents through the development of their careers. He has a thriving Coaching and Consulting practice, whereby he assists others in becoming all they can be in their career endeavors, and he has worked with many Broker/Owners in various capacities from coast to coast. He has authored a real estate marketing textbook as well as a motivational/inspiration book titled, “Lessons to Learn on Your Journey to Greatness.”
Randy works from an established set of Core Values which include, Integrity, Commitment, Vision, Responsibility, Accountability, and Passion. He understands that ours is a relationship business, and success is built upon establishing Trust, Commitment, and Care guiding people through the often complex process of buying and/or selling their most valuable asset – their home. Randy’s real estate sales practice is built on Referrals, in fact he is a Certified Mentor and Coach for the nation’s most prestigious activity-based marketing service provider – Brian Buffini and Company located in Carlsbad California.
And while it may seem that Randy is busy in various aspects of residential real estate, perhaps too busy; it is for that reason he teamed up with JP & Associates, whereby he remains active in listing and selling with the support of his colleagues, particularly Michael Barnhart, a fellow JP & Associates colleague. Together, Randy and Michael bring to you a level of Experience and Energy unmatched in our industry.
