"When I was growing up my family had a small cabin in the San Bernardino mountains near Lake Arrowhead. I have many pleasant memories of spending time there with my family. I thought it would be a good idea to share that experience with my grandchildren by acquiring a cabin for my family so they could enjoy spending time in the mountains like I did when I was young. I started by looking for a realtor for the Lake Arrowhead area on the internet. I picked the first one that looked knowledgeable and professional. I sent an email to the site hoping to hear something back. My experience with websites is that often you never hear back from the company/person you are trying to contact. To my surprise the next morning I had a response. Amy Steele responded with a short introduction of herself and questions regarding my requirements for the property we wanted. We spent the next two months emailing back and forth. She would send listings so we could see what was available and we would comment about the positives and negatives of each. She always responded promptly and did an excellent job of filtering out properties that did not meet our criteria. Finally we decided to view the properties that met our needs and made the two hour trip to meet her and get a tour. We spent the day looking at places that she picked for us and we thought we would be happy with any of them. However, she saved the best for last. At the end of the day she showed us a property that we instantly knew was the one. Four days later we were in escrow.
