Lots of great news for McKinney
in the 2013 housing statistics recently released by The Collin County
Association of Realtors. The only
category that declined overall for the year was a good one: the Days on Market
Until Sale decreased to 40 days on market down from 58 days in 2012. Here are the actual numbers for McKinney comparing
housing sales in 2013 to housing sales in 2012:

Median Sales prices, closed sales reported and the % of Original List Price
Received are all good indicators for sellers and usually mean more competition
for buyers. But there is still good news
for buyers in that interest rates remain reasonably low. Buyers who are prequalified and ready to act
quickly should have good things in store as well, however, they will likely need
to be prepared to compete and come strong with their offers.
