I hate crowded stores so I prefer to do my shopping online! Like many of you Amazon.com is one of my top shops to hit for just about everything! Amazon.com is looking to add a new distrubution center to the DFW area and Coppell, Texas is a front runner. On Tuesday September 25, 2012 the Coppell City Council approved several tax abatement efforts to bring Amazon.com to our industrial area. Coppell is home to a large number of commercial companies that employ lots of local citizen. Among the top are JP Morgan Chase with over 1400 employees, U.S.P.S also at 1400 employees, Verizon Service Center at 1200, Coppell ISD 1131, Homeward Residential Inc at 1004, Da Vita RX which employees 600, The Container Store Distribution Center at 562 employees, IBM at 540, Samsung with 500 employees, and USP Supply Chain Solution at 400. Lots of business means lots of extra revenue in sales tax for the city. While negotiations are still pending the retial giant would create 100 plus jobs!
