Property tax notices have recently gone out and they are often a good news/bad news scenario…good because most people’s property value has increased, bad because that involves paying more taxes. If you were wondering how much property values have increased the following information for last month’s housing numbers provided by the Collin County Association of Realtors (CCAR) will give you a snapshot.
Comparing April 2016 to April 2015 here’s what CCAR reported for housing sales in the city of Anna:
Average sales price rose from $188,879 in April 2015 to $214,127 in April 2016, a 13.4% increase.
The median sales price rose from $175,000 in April 2015 to $204,000 in April 2016, a 16.6% increase.
In April 2015 there were 45 new listings reported, April 2016 was up to 68, a 51.1% increase.
The % of list price received rose from 97.7% in April 2015 to 100% in April 2016. Wow. 100% is a great number when you’re selling!
In April 2015 there were 45 Listings under contract compared to 51 in April 2016.
The days on market before sale was 41 days in April 2015, it dropped to 25 days in April 2016.
