Becoming a small business owner is all about gumption; especially in the real estate industry. There is so much competition and,you can feel like you are one in a crowd of many.I have had so much anxiety to start working as real estate agent that, now, to be one, all i can do is look forward. In addition to real estate, I also sell Mary Kay. Other day, my Mary Kay director gave us a truly inspiring lecture regarding success. She took an example from Life's Golden Ticket by Brendon Burchard. In the book, there is an example about if you are you a spinner or a sailor. So, I ask for you to imagine that we are at a lake and, while at a lake, you are watching several children getting into bumper boats. As you watch, you will observe many children pedaling along, all working to move their boats to reach the other side of the lake. Some children want to explore and see the other side quickly so they pedal as fast as possible. They know what they want and are vocal that their goal of reaching the other side no matter what it takes. These kids are labelled the sailors and reach their designation quickly. Then, there are children with the same goal at the beginning but start slowing down before reaching the other side. These children start thinking about everything and assume that they cannot get there because of the difficulty. They never progress forward and just spin around and stay in one spot. These children are labelled the spinners and never try like the sailors since they gave up.This example is to show that some people always keep going and others give up when times are hard. When hearing this, I cannot keep thinking that I did not want to give up and become a”spinner". I have a vision of success for my business and have to keep moving forward. And really, this is not just about anyone who owns a business. It is a concept for anyone who has a goal in mind about ANYTHING. You just have to be consistent and try without giving up. We all hit hard points in life and, at times, feel like there is no hope. Remember at the end of the day, there is a choice to do something different and to improve yourself. All I can say to anyone is do not give up on your hopes or dreams. Keep digging deep and know that small steps each day lead to something better.

"Trenton Johnson is the best agent I've ever had. I'm a first-time home buyer, but I had gone through three other agents over a 12 month period that either weren't good listeners, wasted my time and gas, didn't communicate with me in a timely or efficient manner, didn't explain the process clearly, kept me in the dark, weren't professional, or asked me what I should do as if I was the agent.
