Makes perfect sense. No one wants to foreclose on a home. Not you, not your neighbors, and not even Bank Of America. Its drastically better to avoid foreclosure on your home by engaging in a short sale with your lien holder (bank). You will avoid foreclosure on your credit and be able to purchase another home in the not so distant future.
Oh yeah - Short sales are FREE to all home owners. You dont pay real estate commissions, you dont pay the buyers. You just have to move out once the home sells. In most cases you even get to live there mortgage free while we sell it.
And it gets better...in order to help distressed home owners move out and short sale their homes Bank of America has started a Short Sale Relocation Assistance Program:
The home owner could receive $2,500 to $30,000 in relocation assistance
Bank of America is excited to announce that for a limited time, they are offering enhanced relocation assistance payments in which qualified homeowners who initiate a short sale without an offer could be eligible to receive $2,500 - $30,000* in relocation assistance and owe no more on their mortgage with the sale of their property.
Determining a clients eligibility is easy:
A REALTOR initiates the short sale and submits the documentation for the homeowner to quickly determine if they qualify for the enhanced relocation assistance.
The homeowner must participate in one of the preapproved price short sale programs, such as HAFA (Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives) or Bank of America's proprietary program. Specific investor participation and eligibility criteria do apply to these programs.
Bank of America is reviewing all current, in-process preapproved price short sale agreements to determine who is eligible for this limited-time offer. Eligible homeowners actively participating in a preapproved price short sale program (such as HAFA or Bank of America's proprietary program) will receive a letter if they qualify for the additional relocation assistance. The relocation assistance will be paid at closing.

"Carolyn was not only friendly and easy to work with, but she went out of her way with the little things when she didn't have to. She walked me through every part of the process and always made sure I knew everything that was going on. Thank you so much Carolyn Cruz"
