What happens if you want a DEAL and the property is a BIT dated? YOU STILL NAB IT! I have two first-time buyer clients right NOW who are doing just that. Both properties are in the right location and have been lovingly maintained over the decades by their owners, BUT they are dated. These buyers are heading to Home Depot or Lowe's ASAP to replace faucets, light fixtures, and repaint the kitchen cabinets, etc. Result? A solid home that is a great deal and reflects their personal style and flair!
Obviously, this approach isn't for everyone, but if you're handy or have the fortitude and resources to deal with some updating, you could snag a GREAT property in a super LOCATION for a pretty good deal (even in today's market)!
