I have been sticking to my new years resolution of walking at lease 3 times a week for a minimum of half an hour. Because the weather has been mild I have been able to take my French Bulldogs with me. Being a brachycephalic breed, they are not able to regulate their cooling and heating like other breeds.
This is why you will often see Frenchies in dog coats. In summer mine hang out inside or on the ledge of the pool.
When the weather is below 40C this is what you will find them doing:
They have been walking with me for the past 2 weeks and my sons dog has been over to play. He also sports a coat I made as he is thin skinned and gets very cold. I started making dog coats for them as they have the neck and chest of a lab but the body is shorter in length. This makes it difficult to find clothing that actually fits. The stores make Frenchie clothes for pigmy dogs.
Here are a couple of their friends in "outfits" I have made, some for special occasions. Some of the expressions say it all! The "Christmas Gift" coats are lined with silk and quilted.
My friends say that if they had a "do over" they would come back as one of my dogs or one of my clients because of the attention I give to both.
"Shannon & Howard were extremely patient as we searched for a new home. They listened and guided us through the process. we ended up with a home 600 sqft bigger than we thought we could afford. This was supposed to be a 5-10 year home, but because of their excellent help, we are in our dream home at our dream price "
