Cottonwood isn't just about the art, though. The festival also features local bands who perform the best in rock, country, jazz, blues, swing and folk. Be sure to check out the Lakeside Courtyard, where you can sit in the shade by the lake and relax while you enjoy the music. Food and spirits are also available in the courtyard. The beautiful atmosphere and ambiance of the courtyard is created and designed by Donal McKinney, owner of Green Sculptor.
I love going with my 7 year old son because, not only does he love paying in the children's area, he loves looking and analyzing/interpreting the art with me. The festival is great for the family and the pets.

As a native to the Dallas area, we have been going to the festival for years. Whether you're shopping for art, listening to music, enjoying the outdoors, or making art of your own, Cottonwood has something for you. Another factor that makes the festival so great is that it is FREE!!! Hope to see you there!
