I’m sure I don’t need to remind anyone that its tax season…the time of year when home owners are pointedly reminded about some of the great benefits of home ownership. If you’re a homeowner with a loan you’re probably actually a little thankful right now for those monthly mortgage payments that include deductible interest and your property taxes because you’re seeing how those things positively impact your tax liability. If you’re not a homeowner right now, just think, this time next year you could be deducting taxes, interest, and a good chunk of your closing costs on that house you buy, some very nice tax implications.
Another benefit of home ownership is often a yard where you can enjoy your pets. Don’t have a pet? Well, you’re in luck; we’re full service here at JP and Associates. A friend in McKinney just rescued the 9 year old Chocolate Lab pictured above. He’s reported to be very sweet (“he’s all about the love”) but just a bit of an infringement on the other two male dogs that are already in residence or else he would probably be staying with his rescuer.
