For those of you who may be new to town, or have just never participated, THIS YEAR is the time. Starting August 11, 2014, hosted by Central Market, and more than 100 fine dining restaurants participating, this event supports the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope. Restaurants will offer a prix fixe menu with entrees ranging from $35-$45. 20% of all entrees are donated to the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas and Lena Pope in Fort Worth. It is for a great cause, so please go support these two nonprofit organizations. If you shop at Central Market and spend more than $25, you can receive a Fourth Course promo. Most restaurants have a wine or drink pairing for an extra charge. You can check out the Official DFW Restaurant Week website for participating restaurants and offerings. Don't forget to make a reservation once you have found a restaurant you would like to enjoy. The North Texas Food Bank provides access to nearly 175,000 nutritious meals a day. The mission of Lena Pope is to help create hope, happiness, and success for children and families. Counseling and education are two major program areas it focuses on.
