Dallas area: Buyer’s, Balanced or Seller’s Market?

In his book Shift (© 2009 by Rellek Publishing Partners) Gary Keller cites the following criteria for the Three Types of Real Estate Markets:

1.       #BUYERS’ MARKET – More than 7 months of inventory

2.       #BALANCED MARKET – From 5 to 7 months of inventory

3.       #SELLERS’ MARKET – Less than 5 months of inventory

In light of that information, let’s take a look at the number of months inventory available in some cities in the Dallas Metroplex comparing June 2012 to June 2011 based on information provided by the Collin County Association of Realtors:
