The December 2012 housing numbers are in with some interesting numbers for home sales in the City of Anna. Consider the following comparisons of home sales in Anna for December 2012 over December 2011 as reported by the Collin County Association of Realtors®.

Those are some intriguing numbers that appear to be moving in both directions.
For sellers the best news is the increase in % of list price received (up 3.5%) and the lower number of homes for sale (-27%). It did take considerably longer to sell a home though with the days on market until sale increasing to around 4 months in December 2012 as compared to approximately 2 ½ months in December 2011.
The increase in number of new listings is good news for buyers with more homes hitting the market in December 2012 over December 2011 but that is somewhat offset with the inventory of homes available decreasing 27% and the number of months supply decreasing 44.2%.
Still, Anna is a great place to land and buyers do have a good selection of both existing/established homes and new construction in Anna. There’s something for everyone and it will be interesting to see what the spring holds for home sales in Anna.
