With Halloween almost behind us the 20111 Holiday will soon be kicking-off. Tick, tock, tick, tock, time is definitely moving at a fast pace. Retailers have already begun to stock their shelves with Christmas goodies. It seems every year the Holidays get bigger and bigger and more commercialized but there are several small communities that still keep Christmas at heart. If you are looking for that home town feel try Coppell, TX for a "Hometown Holiday". There is a family parade of lighted floats that travel through the main streets of Coppell towards the City Plaza on Parkway Drive. There they light all the trees and the main city Tree. Together with other familes you can enjoy holiday carolling, hot chocolate and a beautiful display of lights. Down the road a bit is Grapevine, TX. Grapevine is home to the astonishing Gaylord Hotel. During the Holidays the Gaylord is transformed into a magical winter wonderland, from gingerbread houses, Santa's Workshop, to recreating the North Pole with their award winning ICE Exhibit. The 2.5 million pounds of ICE attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Just down the street is old Downtown Grapevine which also becomes a wonderful whimsical winter scene as well. If you have small children then Grapevine is the place to be because they have the famous North Pole Express Train! Where else can you take a trip to the North Pole and have hot chocolate with Santa himself. There are lots of other communities that unite for the holidays! Check out these and your local communities for a great Christmas Season! GOD BLESS
