Well, we kinda knew it would happen. October 1st is here and the guys in Washington can't agree on a budget so our government is "shutdown". For the most part, real estate is not going to suffer. If you are buying a home using a government backed program, such as FHA, VA, or USDA, don't panic. The wheels may spin a bit slower but aren't going to fall off the wagon. The National Association of REALTORS® has put together a page that will let you know how the shutdown will effect your loan. Check back often as it will be continually updated as information becomes available.
As always, I'm here to help with all your real estate needs. Contact me if I can be of any assistance!
