Wondering what paint color to cover your walls in? Whether you are Designing to DWELL or Staging to SELL, the following options are on trend but not won't overwhelm your room. Okay, I'll tell you now that Perfect Greige (below) is currently my absolute FAVE. I use it in different strengths and it always reads just a little differently in each project. I like this particular color because it has an underlying tone of black rather than a yellow undertone and is more updated and fresh.
The color below, Balanced Beige, is similar but if you compare the two colors, you'll see it has more of a yellow base. It still goes well with all furniture, and of course sunshine and architectural details make a difference in deciding on paint colors.
Within the past few years, I have found myself leaning towards a simple white background, and Ben Moore's Swiss Coffee is definitely a safe option in almost all spaces. You can see how relaxing the color is and how it makes the other colors really pop. I mean look at that fireplace! And the floors!
So that is a quick overview of paint color suggestions for your interiors. Of course, we suggest a flat or matte finish in the main living areas (and yes, they do clean easily). I like a satin or semi-gloss for trim, and I generally use Sherwin Williams "Alabaster" 7008 when I'm not using black. But that is a whole separate Design Junkie News....
