The Women’s Chorus of Dallas honors mothers in an hourlong concert in the Grand Hall of Texas Discovery Gardens that will end with the release of live butterflies. The program, conducted by Melinda Imthurn, will feature Heather Hawk, who is this year’s Dallas OperaGuild Vocal Competition winner.

This celebration includes a brunch and mimosa bar at the Nasher Cafe by Wolfgang Puck; entrance to the Ernesto Neto exhibition; a family-themed, self-guided scavenger hunt; a Mother’s Day card-coloring activity for children; and special performances presented by the Dallas Opera’s lyric soprano Julie Dieltz and lyric tenor Zach Hess at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. in Nasher Hall.
