According to a report released on Monday, new home builders are more confident that the housing market is back and growing. The report by the National Association of Home Builders indicates that more builders think that sales conditions are more positive than negative. The June index was 52 and that is the first time in seven (7) years that the number has been above 50! Any reading above 50 is considered good news for the housing market and further indication that the housing market recovery is for real. New home builders are reporting more consumer traffic and overall sales conditions than the month before with over 41% of builders that participated saying that conditions are positive which is more than twice the percentage that thought they were poor.
