Whenever it rains like this, all day and my kids announce into the side of my head every 15 minutes that they are board, I cant help but think of Cat in the Hat, particularly when I clean the living room and turn around and there is another mess right behind me. So what's a group of people to do when the age range is 3yrs - 40 yrs old?
One of my old favorites? Roller Skating, you can visit Interskate, in Lewisville. Same great fun, inline or traditional skates and they even have a "kiddie" rink.
Another favorite from my youth, bowling! And these days the bowling alleys are much better than what I remember. You have an option in almost every city. Strikes in Frisco, Splitsville in Fairview and even Shananigans in Rockwall. All have other options besides bowling, arcades, billiards and some even have laser tag. You could spend all day in one of these establishments, although your wallet may have another opinion.
If the mall, movies, skating or bowling don't do it for you. Perhaps you would like to go a little more educational. The Heritage Museum in Frisco is a popular spot. The Heard Museum in McKinney, offers many inside and outdoor activities, as well. A little further away, but still lots to do, Grapevine Mills. Sea Life Aquarium, LEGOLAND Discovery Center and you can even ice skate and eat at the Rainforest Cafe.
Looking for something completely different, Going Bonkers in Lewisville. A giant indoor play area and climbing ... umm.. place. There is a huge "playground" that you can climb and slide through no matter how old you are. How about trying Cosmic Jump in Allen. The website calls it a trampoline entertainment center. That pretty much sums it up. Age is not a factor here either.
As you can see, er...read, there are MANY indoor options in North Texas. And when in doubt, Google it! That's just my prospective.
