It's only a matter of time before one your Realtor friends will tell you that you should consider selling your home, and if they haven't yet, they will soon. It's simple, supply and demand. Right now, sellers and agents alike will find themselves in multiple offer scenarios, especially in hot areas such as Plano, Frisco, Preston Hollow, and Coppell. Unless a home is over priced or does not show well, most homes in areas such as the above mentioned are selling in less than a week. Personally, I have represented buyers that will buy a home that needs foundation work, and will STILL pay over asking price and the appraisal. Now, I'm not saying it will be like this for every occasion, however, these are just things to consider.
Currently, inventory is still low, meaning that there are too many buyers that need homes in DFW, which means that sellers have the power in negotiations. In short, sell your home now if you have thought about upgrading or moving to another location! Also, interest rates are lower than they have been in a year! So that means their are more qualified buyers out there, and when you're ready, you can qualify for a new and lower interest rate :)
