Here we go staging is just as important to the sale of your home as the pricing
is. When you walk into a home you want to feel welcomed and free of stress. Your
home is your sanctuary and should be comfortable and staging your home
correctly will convey this message to the potential buyers. Here are a couple
examples of the staging of your home, one could be the home is full of furniture
too much to be exact. If you have a lot of furniture in your home and would like
it to sell you should choose the right pieces of furniture to stay and the
others that will need to go. This will create a more open feel to your floor
plan and space has a lot to do with a buyers decision. There is a simple solution to all that extra
furniture you will now have to store. Your garage is a great place to store extra
furniture everyone expects a garage to be used for many things and storage is
acceptable. If you have an experienced
agent they will be able to help you in this process, don’t take offense to what
they say you should or shouldn’t remove they are speaking from experience. This
can go the other way as well, is your home vacant without any furniture? This
can cause a problem, not everyone is visual and can imagine what will fit and
having furniture for a point of reference is a good thing. If you are able to get a little furniture into
the home to show its potential this is your best choice. The most neutral look
is key, have you painted your walls colors you love? This can cause an issue
since everyone’s taste is different and a bright orange room might be your
choice but the buyer might hate it and small things like that can change a person’s
choice on purchasing your home. Wallpaper can be a huge turn off to potential
buyers, just take a little time remove the wall paper and paint the walls a
neutral color. Neutral colors on all
walls including the bathrooms are your best bet when wanting to reach the most
potential buyers. The agent isn’t stating this is a good idea just because they
don’t like the color you have chosen they know that the more colorful your home
is the more likely the buyers will not enjoy the colors. Just keep in mind
everyone is different and simple colors will allow them to see the potential of
changing the paint in the future for themselves to a color they desire. The
more work a buyer sees in purchasing the home the less likely they are to
purchase the home unless they are looking for a fixer upper and in that case
they aren’t looking to pay the asking price. Just remember the staging of your
home can make a huge difference when you are trying to sell quickly for top
