Spring has sprung and it is time to start thinking about your spring cleaning. With that comes getting rid of all of those items that have been collecting dust for months or even years.
You know you have them, we all do.
Here are a few simple tips on how to get rid of those items.
GIVE THEM AWAY: There are many places that will take your used items off your hands, some will even come and pick them up from you. You can easily search for those places in your area, online. If you know a family in need, or someone who has kids just a little younger than yours, consider donating their toys, clothes, etc. to them. You can also ask on a local forum or social site (i.e. Nextdoor.com) if anyone knows anyone in need of the particular items you don’t want anymore. Freecycle is another site where you can just give your items away.
SELL ONLINE: Online selling has become very popular over the years. We have websites like craigslist, offerup, letgo, e-bay, facebook and more. On facebook, garage sales, mommy’s groups and such are popping up constantly offering you a place to sell and buy used items. Of course for this to work you will need to take pictures of your items.
GARAGE SALES: Yes Garage sales are still popular, usually in the Spring and Autumn from what I have seen. It makes sense since these are the two times a year that people like to clear out their homes. Check with your neighborhood HOA, if you have one, when you can do a garage sale, and don’t forget to advertise it. Use flyers if you can around town and advertise online on craigslist and in facebook groups.
UPCYCLE: Do you have an old coffee table, picture, or anything else that has seen better days? You can’t get rid of it, but don’t want to throw it out? A great alternative is to reuse it. Upcycling can be wonderful if done right. There are tons of ideas online. One of my favorite sites to get ideas is Pinterest, but I am sure if you just search online you will get many more sites and blogs with great ideas.

"Angela is a fun, energetic, joyful person. You can’t miss these characteristics from her work because she will carry an optimistic attitude no matter what tasks are given to her. Her cheerful spirit is contagious and you will find that her presence will lighten up anyone around her. Let me also add the integrity of her work ethic. She holds high standards for herself and she will execute any tasks with excellence to its completion. But by far, her best quality as a person is her compassionate heart. You will find soon enough that she will never be too busy to stand by you and offer you a helping hand"
