The Parade of Lights (starting at 6 p.m.) features an awesome line-up of illuminated floats that start at the corner of Belknap and Throckmorton in downtown Fort Worth. But before the parade, head over to the Holiday Fun Zone (starting at 2 p.m.) located in the Gateway parking lot between Houston, 5th, Throckmorton and 4th streets. The fun zone features entertainment, children's holiday craft-making and food from a downtown restaurant. Following the parade, wander over to the General Worth Square, located on Main Street between 8th & 9th Streets for a showing of the movie, "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" starring Jim Carrey, starting at 8 p.m. Park your car at the Farrington Field parking lots and catch the free shuttle into Downtown from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Thanksgiving weekend at the Stockyards is going to be packed with plenty of western style excitement— featuring cattle drives, gunfights, holiday face painting and visits with cowboy Santa himself. Try to catch the Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show and the Championship Rodeo which will also be taking place both Friday and Saturday.

Check out the winter wonderland set-up in the 7-acre sculpture garden at the Antatole Hotel this year. There will be an outdoor ice skating pond decked out with a million twinkling lights, live entertainment, penguin visits from the Dallas Zoo, children’s hockey clinics, face painting, crafts and tasty holiday treats. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children. You can also rent skates for $6 an hour.
