make sure your furnace is working to maximum efficiency. My friends
at CoServ recommend a professional inspection one to two times a year. When a
service technician comes out they should do the following things:
gas connections, gas pressure, burner combustion and heat exchanger
electrical connections and measure voltage and current motors
all moving parts
inspect the condensate drain in your central air, furnace and/or heat pump
controls of the system to ensure proper and safe operations
What can you
do to make sure you get maximum efficiency?
thermostat settings to ensure the heating system is set for your comfort when
you are home and saves energy when you are not home. CoServ recommends 68 degrees when you are
exterior doors completely shut and interior doors open to maximize air flow and
filters based on the manufacture instructions. Typically every 30 to 90 days
will help increase your efficiency.
