It can be a very scary process for first time home buyers when making such a large purchase for the first time. As a buyer, it's important to understand what you can afford. As a realtor, we have to have a preapproval letter before we can submit an offer on a property that you want. So, we work together with a lender to help us determine the price range you will be able to afford. For that to happen, you have to choose a lender that you feel comfortable talking to about your fiances, debts, income, etc. Lenders are really the first step for you and the agent to be able to determine if you are ready to buy right now OR if you may need to wait a couple of months longer to clear up any financial issues. I work closely with Kevin Johnson which is with Service First located at the Shops of Legacy in Plano. He's an excellent lender that I send most all buyers that are ready to purchase right now OR have some financial issues that need to be addressed before a home can be purchased. Kevin helps us determine this. He will talk to buyers by phone or in his office. He wants the buyers to be comfortable understanding this crucial piece of the lending process. Once the preapproval letter is generated, I come back into play and start showing you homes! That's the very exciting part for all of us!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions at all. It is a fact that buying a home is cheaper in the long run, so why not buy if you can? We can help you determine such and we are happy to do so!

"We are first time home buyers and decided to bid on a HUD home. This process was extensive and very time consuming. Michele was there to answer all our questions throughout the process and had no problem picking up the phone and ask questions and would call us immediately whenever we had updates. I would have to say that I am not the easiest person to deal with and it was never an issue. Also, she helped us to find a lender that was absolutley amazing he came to our apartment on a Saturday afternoon to walk us through the process step-by-step."
