According to NAR’s2013 Investment and Vacation Home Buyers Survey the vacation homes sales prices went up 10.1% in 2012. Safe to say the sales price of vacation homes is increasing. The average vacation home prices ranged from $150,000 in 2012, up from $121,300 in 2011.
The future for vacation property looks extremely promising. 29 % of vacation home buyers say that they will most likely buy another vacation home in the next 2 years. People who already purchased a home for their primary residence, 21% say that they will buy a vacation home in the next 2 years.
