"I’m writing concerning Marc Melhado, Realtor with Alexander Chandler Realty. Marc was recommended to me by my mortgage lender. I’m so happy she recommended Marc. I had an unexpected issue with my vehicle on the day I was going to meet with Marc at his office and wasn’t able to meet with him face to face. He didn’t want that little issue to delay the search for a house. Marc and I discussed what I was looking for in a new home by phone. He carefully listened to my long list of home wishes and even told me he specialized in excessive wishes. He was right. He set up a preliminary search for me and carefully screened the properties to further define what I wanted before he sent me the listings. I had several listings to look through the very first day! Marc sent several listings at a time for me to check out, called or texted to check to make sure I was getting homes within my targeted wants and needs.
Marc was readily available and prompt in replying to my numerous questions. We met to view several homes after a snow storm while there was still snow on some of the roads making it that much more of an adventure. He made it fun to go through the homes and pointed out issues with the homes I might not have noticed. He wasn’t just trying to sell a house, he was helping me find the right one for me. Marc explained how the process works before I found the house I wanted, so I would not be surprised on what needed to happen to get a house under contract. He encouraged my questions and professionally and patiently explained everything with just the right amount of detail.
When we found the house I wanted to buy, Marc very carefully created the contract, explained it to me and had lots of conversations with the seller in order to get the house under contract. He had a trip planned, but put my needs before his and delayed his trip by several hours to get the contract signed by the seller. Marc helped me with getting inspections scheduled, worked with the seller to secure title policy and survey, helped in selecting a home warranty contract, sent me HOA documents and everything else leading up to the closing day.
Marc met me at the title company on closing day which made the process less stressful. After closing he went with me to my new home to make sure everything was left in good condition. I saw how much it needed to be painted when it was completely empty. I asked Marc if he knew a painting contractor and he did. He called and they were able to give me an estimate that very afternoon. I accepted their proposal and they started painting the next morning. I couldn’t have accomplished that without Marc!
Marc is lots of fun with impeccable professionalism thrown in that made the process of buying my home a very enjoyable experience. He went over and above what was necessary. I hope to be in my home for many years, but will definitely call on Marc when I am ready to start the process of searching for a new home.
